Historically MERA had been focused on software R&D and Professional services for telecom/datacom infrastructure. Finally MERA expanded its portfolio by adding a totally new and quite attractive domain - Mobile phones. Capitalizing on its unique corporate culture and extensive experience of rapid knowledge transfers MERA promptly built up mobile terminal expertise and MERA’s mobile team grew to 100 engineers within a year.

MERA provides software R&D services for the location-based services (LBS) solutions for mobile phones:

• Feature-rich cross-platform GPS navigation application which allows searching for all sorts of up-to-date local information such Points of Interest (POI) (businesses, movies, gas, events, etc) as well as receive current traffic conditions, speed camera alerts and weather information.
